I only take Aetna, but I can provide you with a “Superbill” to seek reimbursement if your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits. For other insurances, we can provide a super bill upon request for to get reimbursement from your insurance. We cannot guarantee reimbursement from your insurance company. In order to obtain reimbursement from your insurance company, a mental health diagnosis must be made.
Insurance companies often determine your type and length of therapy, even if it’s against my professional opinion. So, it limits what I can do with my clients. Plus, the paperwork they require is often a job in itself!

Therapy with me is active. We’ll build rapport, and as we get more comfortable, I’ll give you different activities outside the therapy office to help you process difficult emotions.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a counseling technique where you move your eyes a specific way while you process traumatic memories. EMDR aims to help you heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences.
EMDR therapy doesn’t require talking in detail about a distressing issue. Instead, it focuses on changing the emotions, thoughts, or behaviors that result from a painful experience (trauma). This allows your brain to resume a natural healing process.

I only work with adults. After speaking to their parents, I may make an exception with some minors if they feel we’d be a good fit.
