Trauma and Anxiety
When did this become your new normal?
You can feel your heart racing.Your mind is going 100 miles per hour. Thinking and overthinking about what you have to do and what will happen if it’s not done correctly keeps you worried and self-conscious. Although you wake up with a plan, nothing ever seems to work out. The anxiety builds and builds, leaving you directionless.
No matter how much you try to reason your way out of it…
It never works. As time goes by, your world becomes more constricted. The things you used to enjoy now cause you stress, anxiety, and sometimes panic. The world you used to enjoy now seems like a minefield of triggers for anxiety and stress.
It might feel like there’s nothing you can do.
Anxiety and stress are often tied to a disturbing or traumatic experience, so it seems like there’s no way to “get over it.”
But you can.
In therapy, we target the specific memory that has kept you from moving on or managing your stress levels using EMDR. Once we have cleared the specific memory or experiences that have been getting in the way, we can direct your life back to a place where you can wake up and breathe.
I will use talk therapeutic techniques to explore your world views and enhance any negative self-beliefs that aren’t advocating for the life you want. When we identify a negative belief, we replace it with a winning, confident, and powerful positive belief system.
You can get over the stress – once and for all.
Imagine a world where you’re not changing your schedule to accommodate your anxiety.
What if you could just hop in the car and drive to a busy place without feeling threatened?
If you’re tired of not living the life you desire, it’s time to take action.
